KEYNOTE LUNCHEON SPEAKER

ELKE F. SUBER, ESQ.
MICROSOFT CORPORATION

Elke F. Suber is the Assistant General Counsel for Microsoft Stores in Microsoft’s Corporate, External
and Legal Affairs (CELA) group. She has served as Microsoft’s lead direct sales attorney since 2016, and
works on the Microsoft Store leadership team. She oversees all legal matters, and leads a legal team
that provides worldwide strategic counsel on retail, e-commerce, financing, technology, real estate,
compliance, and privacy issues. During her career at Microsoft, she was lead attorney for several of
Microsoft’s online products, and as lead copyright counsel for Xbox and Microsoft Research.

Atty. Suber led the legal department’s Pipeline and Community Building initiatives to advance diversity
in the profession from 2009-2015. Prior to joining Microsoft, she was counsel for CIGNA’s Technology
and Business Group, and was in private practice with two law firms in Philadelphia. She started her career
as a law clerk for the Honorable Gary L. Lancaster of the US District Court for the Western District of
Pennsylvania, and for the Honorable Justin M. Johnson of the Pennsylvania Superior Court. She is Chair
of the Digital Media and New Technologies Division of the American Bar Association Forum on the
Entertainment and Sports Industries. She is past Chair and President of the Board of Directors for the
Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association. She serves as a member of the Board of Trustees
for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and was honored as a 2011 Leadership Counsel on Legal
Diversity Fellow. Atty. Suber is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, and the University of Pittsburgh
School of Law.

WDRB TV

Gilbert Corsey joined the WDRB TV news team in 2011 as the co-anchor of WDRB News at 4 with
Elizabeth Woolsey. He started reporting in Abilene, Texas at KTXSTV and specialized in educational
stories, earning him top honors from the Texas chapter of the Associated Press. Gilbert later moved
to Eastern North Carolina and added anchoring news and sports to his resume, along with producing
his own shows. Prior to joining WDRB, Gilbert served as the weekend anchor at a FOX and ABC
affiliate in Charleston, West Virginia. A native of Seattle, WA, and graduate of the Edward R. Murrow
School of Communication at Washington State University, Gilbert Corsey is an eight-time Emmy
award-winning Anchor/Reporter at WDRB News.
