  • June 4, 2020:  BID OPPORTUNITY  – Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is looking to award blanket contracts that enable TVA to become or maintain compliance with the Coal Combustion Residual (CCR) Rule, Clean Water Act or effluent limitation guidelines.
            This CCR conversion program consists of coal combustion residual activities or
   projects, design and construction of new dam facilities or modifications of existing
   dames, and/or waste water treatment, de-watering, and landfill projects.
   Examples of Areas of Work:  (there may be additional work areas beyond these
   examples)

 

  • Geo-technical/hydro-geological investigations
  • Groundwater quality monitoring
  • New ash impoundment construction
  • Existing ash impoundment remediation and closures
  • Construction, maintenance, and operation of landfills
  • Closure and cap of landfills
  • Installation of closure turf material with and without power cap solar panel systems
  • Windmill projects, battery projects, (and other emerging technologies, etc.)
  • Waste water treatment
  • Ash de-watering
  • Beneficiation
  • Dam-safety design and construction (e.g. grading and drainage: concrete training walls, floodwalls or other appurtenant structures; rock and earth buttressing; drilling & grouting, cut off walls, slot cutting; spillway construction and/or repair; gate modifications, construction or repair)
  • Facility haul roads and bridge
  • Cleanup and construction management services (construction services; technology and equipment selection; management of installation services; studies and assessments; full detailed design; associated balance of plant equipment and related engineering)
  • Site engineering; specialty engineering; construction engineering and inspection and constructability reviews
Project management functions to include planning; staffing; subcontractor selection and management; supervision; project controls, scheduling, estimating, budget/ cost controls, and forecasting; construction quality control or quality assurance functions, inspection, testing, and documentation; project closure support and management; training (craft and non-craft); and startup services.
