As we move into the summer months, it is critical that we take full advantage of the upcoming congressional recess periods to engage Members of Congress in home districts and states. Given the current policy environment—including ongoing shifts impacting small business access to capital, federal procurement, and supplier diversity programs—direct and in-district engagement of congress is one of the most effective tools we have to advance minority business growth and expansion in this political climate.
